Tried it before, but want a refresher?

NOW IS YOUR CHANCE!

Auld Reekie Roller Derby our opening our doors on training day, to welcome anyone who fancies giving it a go. You don’t need any prior roller skating experience – we’re here to help you start.

We will lend you some skates and protective gear and you can be guided by our experienced coaches on the basics of roller debry skating. Ask questions about what it all means, and how our new skaters programme works and get more info on how to sign up for a full 10 week programme starting Autumn 2026.

You’ll find a bunch of friendly faces to support you and you’ll never want to be without a pair of skates again.

TASTER SESSION TIMINGS:
10:00 Welcome & What is roller derby? 
10:30 Kit up & taster skate
11:30 Option to stay and hang out to watch our mixed levels scrimmage (game play practice)

NOTE:
We do not lend mouthguards, so you will need to bring your own in order to skate.

All participants must be over 18.
