interested in some off skates training!?

Want to get into decent shape for your gruelling skating future? You can improve your chances of avoiding injury, making your lap quotas and getting on to the team by taking part in regular off skates Bootcamp. Ex Auld Reekie skater and off skates coach Mercy Breheny (Queenie Ville) hosts a twice weekly Bootcamp on the meadows. Mondays 5:30-6:30pm, Wednesdays 6pm-7pm. Sessions cost £5. All levels of fitness welcome. Facebook PM Mercy Breheny, or mail mercy@breheny.com to enrol.

Some of our skaters already go (Mo B Quick, Ciderella, and Crazy Legs to name a few) so this would be an awesome chance for you to get to know some other members of the league. It will be exactly like roller derby in the sense of you just try your hardest, it is not about what the person next to you is doing!

Also, Queenie is a rock star in a band so that might sway you :wcwink:

So would you pay in blocks or at the end/start of each session? I'm interested but wouldn't be able to go regularly due to other commitments - would that be an issue?

This is different than the personal training stuff she does, isn't it?

yep it is! It's run like an outside boot camp, she's fab and supportive no matter what your level of fitness!
I haven't been to her boot camps yet but I do have her as a personal trainer . Couldn't recommend her enough x
also she's usually happy to take sweaty crumpled cash on attendance x

I dont do Queenies as its too far away, but I do do an outdoor boot camp. Theyre great fun, challenging and work bits of you skating doesnt quite reach!
