Come one come all!
It's ARRG's dedicated session for newbies!

email to register!

Everyone is welcome!

Whether you've got a history of skating, or you have never ever skated before - this is the practice for you!
ARRG hold their Skate Skills 101 sessions on Sundays from 2:45 till 4:45 at Jack Kane Centre - EH16 4NB
You can take the # 2 or # 30 bus! And you will meet loads of helpful ARRG skaters and Referees who will be on hand to help you learn the basics!

THEN, we can all go to the Auld Hoose, 23-25 St Leonards Street, Edinburgh. EH8 9QN for more nachos than you can skate a stick at, derby chats and to catch up.
Remember to email for more information about Skate Skills 101 and what's involved. You also must email to register for a spot on Skate Skills 101 and we will be in touch when we have allocated you a space!!!

Skate Skills 101 structure.

What’s happening?
Due to huge demand we're moving to only intake once every 4 months. This ensures we are not overcrowded and also allows each intake of new skaters to have 14 weeks to learn the skills needed to move on to play roller derby.

What this means:
-All skaters joining a Skate Skills 101 session must have their own skates and equipment. Once you have this, email to book your place.

- For those already with us - Skaters will do the full 14 week programme, continually being assessed on WFTDA standards and then move to either competitive or recreational skating, or refereeing. This is YOUR choice, and can be changed at anytime! There's no pressure and no try outs.

- As much practice as possible in those 14 weeks is encouraged. Attend each practice, skate outdoors, and start learning your WFTDA rules as soon as possible.
