Hey guys,

Glasgow Women's Library Are doing a roller derby exhibition in Edinburgh in February using some of the archive material we've donated to the National Museum of Roller Derby (I'll put details up nearer the time once it's all confirmed).

That exhibition is part of the Audacious Women Festival - Glasgow Women's Library was wondering if a few ARRGies wanted to go along to the Programme Launch on 6 December to represent? It's at Augustine United Church on George IV Bridge, 6.30pm.

Any takers? Not to turn up in kit, just mingle and be delightful!
Let me know if so and I'll get back to her.
Bint x

This is cool Bint! Just seen a flyer advertising all the events that's on over the festival.

Is there anything else planned for the 18 Feb 2017, or is it just an exhibition?

p.s - I might do the Stonemasonry Workshop 8-)

Hey - so Pope and I went along to this...it was kind of weird because the GWL woman wasn't there and we ended up having to speak even though we were clearly only there for the free wine :gmeyesout:

So apparently it's a week long exhibition at Meadowbank, the launch is on the 21st Feb with a live demo, and they are also hoping to have a taster session?! We didn't know anything about this so we just chatted for a bit about ARRG and showed them the BBC The Social film

Sorry for the silence on this. The launch is on the 21st Feb, and the would like a few ARRG skaters - say five or so - to turn up in kit, to add a bit of flavour and pootle about looking hardcore. They requested a wee demo of roller derby, which we could do in mini-form.
I thought I would put a call out of volunteers a little nearer the time. I'm happy to go along but I won't be on skates, being up the duff.

They have mentioned a taster session a couple of times, but I've repeatedly made it clear that we would not run a special taster for them, but they are welcome to advertise our next official ARRG taster session (when is the next one by the way?).

Sorry the previous event was a bit random Powers and Pope! They didn't say anything about having you talk, so I'm sorry you were put on the spot. Strange too that the GWL woman didn't turn up!
