Get On Track to Roller Derby
Join Auld Reekie Roller Derby and become a Protostar skater! Learn all of the Roller Derby basics in a staged programme designed to help you set goals and smash them as you learn to play the the most fun sport in the world.
Our Protostars group have access to two regular ‘derby basics’ sessions per week, all designed to help you pass the basic skills required to play competitively. We accept anyone from absolute beginners, to those who have skated a ton before. Our sessions also offer a fun space to practice roller derby recreationally with no pressure.
We invite new skaters to attend on the first Saturday of every month. The first session is free! All you have to do is complete this sign up form in advance.
Once you’ve attended the first session, you’ll be invited to set up a regular advance payment which gives you access to 2 sessions per week and all of our coaching resources.
Once you’ve progressed through Stage 1, our trial period ‘One Small Step’, you’ll be invited to join and become a full member of the league, with access to our forum, and all of the opportunities that come from being a member of this community!
Our league is open to anyone aged 18 and over. There is no maximum age.
In line with the WFTDA Gender Policy, all those who identify as women, trans women, intersex women and/or gender-expansive may train and compete as skaters of Auld Reekie Roller Derby if women’s flat track roller derby is the version and composition of roller derby with which they most closely identify. All genders may train as skating and non-skating officials, and join as non-skating members in other capacities.
