NSOs for Gent Scrim Sun 9th Sept

Post by Kirds-n-Slay » Sat Sep 01, 2012 9:10 am

Hi all,

ARRG will be having a closed scrimmage against Gent GO-GO Roller girls during the 1-3pm practice at Jack Kane on Sunday 9th September. The officials are looking for people to NSO, time the jams, track penalties, man the sin bin to name but a few of the NSO positions.

Haven't ever NSO-ed? Don't worry! A few our ARRG's experienced NSOs will be on hand to explain your role fully. NSOing is a vital part of the running of a league, without NSOs bouts wouldn't happen and it's also a great way to get a better understanding of the game! You'd be surprised by how much rules knowledge you pick up by NSOing. Taking and passing a WFTDA rules test is part of your minimums assessment, and NSOing will help you to build the knowledge base for this.

If you want to carry out a specific NSO position in the upcoming Thistles/Sheffield bout then this would be a great opportunity to give it a go. We'll do our best to accommodate your request but it all depends on the number of volunteers we have.
