Newspaper article on tattoos

Post by Peter Ross » Thu Mar 10, 2011 10:49 pm

Hello,

Remember me? I'm Peter Ross, the journalist who wrote an article about ARRG in Scotland On Sunday a while back.

I'm now planning an article about the forthcoming Scottish Tattoo Convention which will run in our magazine section. I'd really like to speak with someone who is very into getting tattoos, and who'd be happy to show me some of them and talk about why they got them and what (if anything) they mean. I would, ideally, be looking for someone who has a lot of tattoos. I expect that our picture desk would want to photograph the person as well.

Do you think it might be possible to post this on your forum and to generally ask around please? Also, if you know of anyone among the Glasgow Roller Girls who might be into this then feel free to mention it to them. I live in Glasgow, so that city is a bit easier for me. Doesn't really matter though.

Anyway, I hope you are all well and still loving the roller derby. All the best.

Hi Peter - we remember you, we loved the article you wrote!

I'm sure we'll have lots of members interested in this, and I'm in Glasgow tomorrow with the GRG girls so will pass the message on.

Incidentally - I'm in Glasgow for the inagural try outs for 'Team Scotland' who will compete this year in the first ever Roller Derby World Cup (Toronto Dec 2011) against England, Germany, USA, Canada, Australia and many other countries! Might be something to cover later on this year?!!

Hi Crazylegs, thanks for your reply and your help. The world cup thing sounds interesting. I'd be happy to cover it if my editor lets me. Please keep in touch about it by emailing me at peter.ross@scotlandonsunday.com.

Thanks,

Peter.
