Derby for teens..?

Post by Amelia » Thu Jan 31, 2013 10:46 am

Hello!

So I've signed up to be a cycle training assistant with Bikeability (modern day cycle proficiency) and I'll be trained by Ellie Forgan, active schools coordinator at Liberton and surrounding schools.

She said she'd spoken to an ARRG lady (she forgets the name) a couple of years ago about getting 5th/6th year girls involved in derby. I bet there were all sorts of reasons why that was a difficult prospect, but she asked me to mention it anyway in case there's any way some of her girls could get involved. She mentioned there'd been talk of free tickets to a bout for a class to show them a live game.

Anyway just wondering if any of this rings any bells with anyone, as she asked me to mention it!

Cheers

try emailing marketing@arrg.co.uk to ask about comp tickets to a bout!
That could be a start; not sure derby under 18 is something we're in a position to be able to spuuport just now butit's worth a discussion certainly.
