Hey guys,

so for ym work the first ever Book Week Scotland is about to happen - and there is a shit ton of really exciting book related stuff happening for free around the country and Edinburgh for the whole of 26th of November to 2nd December!

If you like books, or crafty book events or readings or talks or weird random performances or scavenger hunts - there is basically something you will want to do. You can see loads of events at www.bookweekscotland.com

However, in particular, we are organising this massive nationwide thing called THE READING HOUR where we try and get EVERYONE in the whole of Scotlandia to put down what they are doing and read for an hour (even businesses!)
It is on 30th NOVEMBER at 11am!

To celebrate it, we are going to be having a massive free reading event called a READ-IN at the National Museum of Scotland during the Reading Hour for total free".
Authors will be reading in different parts of the library for different age groups during the hour.
So Alexander McCall Smith will be in the main gallery for grown ups -
Lari Don will be reading for kids somewhere exciting and there will be a Bookbug session for toddlers too (which basically involves lots of singing anf children - it is quite good)

Anyway, massive spiel over.
I just thought as we are trying to get a big crowd there for the day and there are loads of ARRGies with little kids who might enjoy it, so though I would post!
